Water Rights Expert Supports Richard Lunt

Wilber Lunt is the water rights expert of Greenlee County.  He has worked on water rights since 1959.  During those years he has reached out to Richard for help.  Richard has worked with Senator John Kyle, Senator Jake Flake, Representative Jack Brown, Representative Bill Konopnicki, Director of Arizona Department of Agriculture Don Butler, and water rights lawyer Dave Brown to try to improve the water issues in Arizona.  Wilber has done more for water rights in Arizona than any other person in Greenlee County.  Wilber said, "I supported Richard in his other elections, and I will support him again."

Where's the Beef?

I have been involved in the beef industry almost all of my life.  When I was 16 years old, seven of the boys in our extended family started the Seven L Cattle Company.  I am still part of that company today.

In 1979, I returned to the family farm/dairy/ranch to work.  I managed the dairy part of the operation.  I became involved with the dairy industry and was appointed to the Arizona Beef Council by the dairymen.  I served there for 16 years.  During that time, I was appointed to the National Livestock and Meat board were I was a board member for 9 years.  The industry changed during those times and I was appointed to the National Cattlemen's Beef Association as a board member.  The last thing I did on that board before I left was serve on the nominating committee that nominated Andy Grosetta from Arizona as president.  The main function of these boards was to promote the beef industry.

These opportunities taught me the bigger picture of the industry.  The men I worked with were good men - men of honor and integrity.  I learned how to work with boards and how to get things done.  These experiences prepared me for serving as your county supervisor.

It's More Important What Happens Inside Your House

Barbara Bush:
“But whatever the era, whatever the times, one thing will never change: Fathers and mothers, if you have children, they must come first. You must read to your children and you must hug your children and you must love your children. Your success as a family, our success as a society, depends not on what happens in the White House but on what happens inside your house.” (Washington Post, 2 June 1990, p. 2.)
